Talking of simple things, this weeks 5 Frugal things are just that, nothing mind blowing, just simple every day stuff that bring me joy and cost me nothing.
1. Cut the seed pods off the Italian Parsley, I popped them, seed pods pointing down, in a brown paper bag and sealed it. I will leave them to completely dry, let the seeds fall off the pods, then collect the seeds to plant out when the time is right
2. Walked the little fluffies everyday, yes, even when I was just so tired, I still make the effort just to see their joy at going for a walk, that and seeing them dive into their pool when we get home. Hilarious.
The pool is from Bunnings, it's the best $20 I have ever spent
3. Picked the first Pineapple of the season, they may be small, but they are super duper sweet, I then dry the spiky top out and replant it. It's a constant, free cycle. Love it!
4. Made pita chips out of 3 leftover pita breads, from when we had Falafels for dinner on Monday. I simple brush them with a little oil and grind over some salt and pepper then bake them for 10 minutes at 160C, they are so deliciously crunchy.
5. We were gifted 4 home grown avocados, with the price of avocados at the moment these are such a special treat.
Want to join in? I would love to know your frugal achievements from this past week.
Have a fab Friday,
💗Fi
