As I mentioned in yesterdays post, I have done very little actual cooking this week. On Saturday I made a huge pot of Beef Ragu with Pappardelle, it was really delicious and it made quite a large amount. So I had it for Sunday lunch and dinner, Monday lunch and dinner and the last of it for lunch on Tuesday. Then from Tuesday to Thursday I had beans on toast with an egg on top. Easy, delicious and...lazy? Definitely lazy but goodness I enjoyed not having to cook all week long. And it was just me, I don't often get alone time and I have to say, it was just bliss.
I am not a very social person and love to stay home as much as I can, as the title of my little blog suggests I love being at home doing all the things that make a house a home. I got into bed really early every night, taking our little black cat with me. Ninja has been quite affectionate, at least for her, after her battle with the vet last week. She has been eating well and yesterday started eating dry food again. I have been mushing wet food to a pulp so she could eat something. If you missed it, she had a canine removed and there were complications from it. Hopefully she will get the all clear when we take her back to the vet this coming Wednesday. She is one tough little cat.
