My Goals for 2019

Hello Dear Reader,

I make short term and long term goals each year, but this is the first time I have written them down and posted about them. I guess if I send it out to the world to read, it will make me more accountable. I work well if I have a goal to work towards and in an achievable time frame as well, otherwise I can be a gold medal winning, top notch procrastinator.

As you already know, I love my family, home and garden, I would rather spend time with my little family and to stay home, than do anything else, so, the goals you see below reflect my love of those things that I hold closest to my heart.

So, in no particular order this is what I would like to achieve this year, I have come up with 12, which does tie in nicely with the 12 months of the coming year. I've always said"If you don't plan, you don't do" Lets see how I go.


1. Walk and ride every day

2. Buy only free range meat

3. Plant out our veggie garden in March

4. Finish Ninja's (our little black cat) side of the house with rock wall gabion cages and a cat friendly garden on either end of the gabion cages.

5. Fit out the house with new plantation shutters

6. Go camping twice in the cooler months (May and August)

7. Have a family lunch once a month

8. Support our adult children and their partners as much as possible with their plans for this year

9. Finish Milly's Quilt and start one for Tilly

10. Install an irrigation system for the new raised garden beds-this one is already started 

11. Install another water tank, late last year we ran out of water, I don't want that to happen again

12. Start getting quotes and ideas for re-vamping the bathrooms and toilets.
