Today I am so very grateful for the chance to spend some time with our little family. My Sister and I are very close, however, we don't spend as much time together as we would like, we are both busy and live about 30 minutes away from each other. She is a super, hands on Nanna, works part time and gives a lot of time to her faith, I really admire her for her strength and fortitude.
We only have one relative left from our side of the family, our Aunty Brenda (our late Dad's, Sister In-Law) she is a rare gem, salt of the earth, made of some tough stuff, kind of lady. This Wednesday she is turning 89 but will spend it at the Dialysis clinic where she goes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We love her and her no nonsense, practical, easy going personality, she is an absolute delight. She still lives alone, is doing amazingly well and has two lovely Sons that support her choice to live at home.
We have decided to have a family lunch once a month, everyone taking a turn at hosting the lunch, with everyone bringing a plate along for ease. Life is busy, but life is short too.
What are you grateful for today?
Have a lovely day,
💞Fi
