As I've shared many times before, lovely Hubby is a wonderful fisherman, if it involves fishing in any way, shape or form he's on to it. However if there isn't a fishing line attached to something, that job may or may not get done in a timely fashion.
Please don't get me wrong, he has done and does do quite a bit around the home, the weekly vacuuming and shopping are his domain. He has also just finished the almighty job of installing the new raised garden beds. I am so very grateful for the help he gives me.
There are however many, many jobs that have simply been left for many, many years, I know that sounds quite dramatic but it is the truth. We have been in this home for 15 years or so and our (very dated but still lovely) family portraits still weren't hung up on a wall, likewise our beautiful hall stand has been missing it's mirror for the last 10 or so years.
Enter one daughter with a day off and viola, all those jobs plus a few more have been done. She is like the ultimate Miss Fixit/Handy Woman, just look what she got done yesterday afternoon.
Hung up our circa 1995 family portraits. Don't laugh, we are so rocking the double denim
This lovely antique hall stand was re-finished by my late FIL and had been without the mirror ever since, She went to Bunnings and bought a backing board, had it cut to size and then fitted it to the hall stand for us
We had this beautiful oil painting done of our daughter years ago, it also had not been hung up, now look at it
We sat for these lovely black and white portraits last year while we were on our Alaskan Cruise, with Princess Cruises, to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. They are finally, in pride of place, up on our bedroom wall.
Join in, do you have any odd jobs that are a little overdue to be done around your home?
Have a lovely day,
💗Fi
