This wonderful garlic bread came about as I had a loaf of marked down turkish bread in the freezer that needed using up, (hello freezer and pantry challenge) and also to stretch out some leftovers one night, I made this really easy and gorgeous garlic bread.
It's more to give you a good ratio rather than an actual recipe cause I know, that you know, what goes into garlic bread, but I think it's good to have reliable quantities when making a loaf of garlic bread with turkish bread in particular.
Ingredients for The Best Cheats Garlic Bread-one loaf of turkish bread, a good grind of salt, 100 grams of softened butter, 2 large or 4 small garlic cloves, a small handful of parsley, finely chopped to yield 1 tablespoon and 1/4 cup of grated parmesan
In a bowl mix the butter, grated garlic, finely chopped parsley and a good grind of salt till well combined
Cut turkish bread in half and spread evenly with garlic butter, bake in a preheated 200 C oven for 10 to 15 minutes or untill golden brown
Add the grated parmesan in the last 2 minutes of cooking time.
Golden, gorgeous, garlic-y, crisp and delicious.
Make it, love it, watch it disappear.
