Well, that was the end of another short week, as I had Monday off as an ADO and the end of my full time working life. I have decided to reduce my work hours in an effort to stay with the same government agency for as long as possible and to be a bit kinder to my body. It's only 1 1/2 hours less per day but I think it will make a difference and enhance my life.
As it was quite the drive down the coast, we decided to stay overnight at the same place where the band was playing (The Star) It was definitely not the frugal thing to do, but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We also had a wonderful dinner out at the Japanese restaurant, "Kiyomi" and a buffet breakfast the next morning at "The Garden". Lets just say we spent a bit too much and have now reined in our spending for the next little while.
This week I saved money by-
1. Packing my lunch every day for work and making sure all left overs were eaten in a timely manner
Todays morning tea and lunch-greek yoghurt with macadamias and cranberries, egg and chopped salad and a piece of dark chocolate
2. Used home made cleaners to clean the house. My favourite is the Miracle Spray, it just getting everything so clean and smells wonderful because of the eucalyptus oil.
3. Used the warm up water from the showers to keep a few potted plants hydrated, there is a possibility of rain over the weekend, wouldn't that be a lovely change?
4. Did a very small grocery shop to keep us going till todays shop, by buying only what we need for the week ahead, we stop any potential food waste from happening
5. Made a wonderful Garlic Butter Loaf from ingredients already at home
Your turn, how did you save money this week?
Have a lovely day,
💗Fi
