And just like that it’s Saturday, this past week has gone in a blur, like most holiday weeks do, unfortunately. When we decided to go up to the Bunya Mountains for our 31st wedding anniversary we looked for a place that we could self cater and we found a beaut place called Whitewood Cottage, it was as cute as it sounds, with a great little kitchen, plenty big enough for just the two of us. On 3 nights we actually used the wood heater to warm through/cook our dinner, what a hoot.
We went out for dinner on our anniversary but it was so wonderful we decided to go back again last night, not very frugal, but totally delicious. The restaurant was called "The Bunyas" and it is a little goldmine for the owners, there is a bistro, restaurant, whisky bar and cafe all in one superbly fitted out location, quite modern, hip and comfy with heaters and a fireplace to keep it toasty warm in the middle of winter. What an asset that business is to the Bunya Mountains.
