Another Trip to the Golden Circle Outlet

Hello Dear Reader,

Last weekend we popped up to Simply Good again to buy some bulk groceries, while there Lovely Hubby suggested we also stop in at the Golden Circle Factory Outlet, which is only a block down from Simply Good. I said okay, as long as we don't buy anything in plastic!

We are trying to reduce our consumption of single use plastics and to that end we have started buying from the bulk store, we bring our own containers to the butcher and we use mesh bags when buying fruit and veg.

While I do love a bargain and often find some really great buys at the Golden Circle Factory Outlet, I really didn't want to bring any excess plastic into the home, so this is what we decided to buy-

 Decor glass storage containers in 2 sizes, 6 x cans of Baked Beans, 4 Jars of Pasta Sauce and 4 bars of soap

A large jar of anchovies, a large jar of sauerkraut, light soy sauce, chilli infused olive oil, rice bran spray and cook and some red rock deli chips

So apart from the chip packets, all the packaging is recyclable, which sits well with us and I will keep and reuse all of the glass jars. (I know recycling it's not the answer but it is better than landfill) and there is no single use plastic to be seen. The total cost of this shop was $64.70 which I feel is great value for money for good quality and well known brands.
