Well, I can tell you I am absolutely exhausted, we had a very big day at work yesterday, as we hosted a "Commonwealth Games Day" in the Rehabilitation Unit, where I work as an Allied Health Assistant with the Physiotherapists. With the help of some amazing co-workers (hi Jen) we pulled together a fantastic day for the patients and staff alike. The patients just loved it and it really bought us together as a team. It was exhausting though and I for one, am quite glad it is all over.
That aside, my week has been much the same, work, home, dinner, bed, start again. Don't get me wrong, I love a good routine and mine is all about getting into bed early, so exciting hey? That and eating well and keeping the home fairly tidy and clean. I had a spot of deep thinking yesterday after talking to a co-worker and came to the conclusion of how very different we all are and the lives we lead. I mean, it would be terribly boring if we all did the same thing and I just love how diverse we are, the interests we follow and the lifestyles we keep. Do what ever floats your boat, I say.
Now one with what we bought, spent and ate at Chez Chain-
What we bought
A boned shoulder of lamb and a boneless ham from Marjax Meats. The shrink wrap plastic that the ham was in was rinsed out and put into the Redcycle bin at Coles
Shopping from Northside Discount Fruit Barn. Again the plastic bag that the spuds came in went into the Redcycle bin
Shopping from Aldi, I visited a lovely friend on Monday hence the cheese, dips and crackers
What we spent
Marjax Meats-$64.20
Northside Discount Fruit Barn-$37.86
Aldi-$103.87
TOTAL-$205.93, whoops! Easter!
What we ate
Friday and Saturday-Fish Pie, Tempura Whiting, Quinoa Tabbouleh, Spinach and Roast Pumpkin salad and Rosemary and Garlic Focaccia
And for dessert- Easy Chocolate Tart
Sunday and Monday-Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder with Roast Potato and Pumpkin and steamed Broccoli
Tuesday-Maple Baked Ham, Creamy Dill Potato Salad and Char Grilled Asparagus with Tangy Mustard Vinaigrette
Wednesday-Honey Prawns with steamed Basmati rice and Bok Choy
Thursday-Croc Monsieur using the left over ham from Tuesday
Thats a wrap, a big week, money wise, but we did have quite a lot of leftovers and a few items that weren't used so they will carry over to next weeks menu. How was your Easter and what was on your Easter Menu?
Have a lovely weekend
