Work seemed a breeze this week, with only 4 days at work thanks to the ANZAC day public holiday, ANZAC day fell on a Wednesday this year and I was so grateful for the day off in the middle of the week. I wish all weeks were like that, 2 days work, 1 day off, then another 2 days and, voila the weekend is upon you. It's amazing what that does to your attitude.
I have another short week next week too, I have requested Thursday and Friday off in preparation for leaving the following Monday for my "Beautiful Bordeaux" river cruise with my darling sister. I am starting to get very excited indeed. I think I have everything I need, clothes, shoes and toiletries wise, so now it is just a matter of packing those items up over next weekend and making sure I come in under the 23 kg baggage limit. Although with scenic you are allowed 30 kg I noticed that one of the flights only allows 23 kg with charges applied if you exceed this amount. When we travelled to Alaska last year my bag only weighed 19 kg and I am taking very similar items of clothing so I don't think I will have any problems.
On the food front, for the coming week I will be making double quantities of some dinners to freeze down so the family have a few meals in the freezer while I am away. Our beautiful Daughter is coming down to do a couple of weeks of Guest Spotting at another Tattoo Studio, to re-introduce herself down here in Brisbane. I will be away for most of it but at least I get to spent some time with her this coming week, before I leave on my holiday.
