Just a quick little post today. As I mentioned last week, I have been popping into my local Woolworths and Coles a couple of afternoons a week to check out their marked down fresh produce. Sometimes I am lucky, other times not so much.
I will only buy products that we will eat and will not buy pre-marinated or processed meats like schnitzels. Those two kinds of meat products are always on mark down at my local Woolworths but I don't like them and nothing is a bargain if you don't use it. I am also limited by how much I can buy as I have a small inside freezer. The outside freezers are for fish and bait.
Last weeks grocery bargains went like this-
I have frozen these flat buns and will use them when we make a BBQ pulled pork next week
I have frozen the chicken wings and will bake them next week using a sachet of this spice mix. The yoghurt is lovely and we have been having it with our fruit salads for breakfast and the salmon was a bargain at $1.20 a tin (130gram) they will be used for lunches.
Last week, by buying these marked down specials, I saved-$18.81, it's not a lot but a saving is a saving. I am not as lucky or passionate as some who posts on the FB group-Markdown Addicts Australia, some of their savings are quite amazing.
Any bargains to be had at your local supermarket this week?
Have a lovely day
