Boy it's been a cold and wet start to our Spring, I don't mind though as I've been able to cook a few more new feet warming recipes that I didn't get to do during the depths of Winter. I will share them with you soon. And of course we don't mind the rain, even though it is holding up the construction of the new raised garden beds, any rain is welcomed. It has topped up our tanks nicely which is such a relief.
The new cat enclosure will be fitted today, we are using a long established family business from Brisbane to install the mesh. It will completely enclose the other side of the house and Ninja, our little black cat, can access it from a cat door also being fitted today to the laundry security door. As of tomorrow the little woofs will be with us full time and the home next door will be completely empty ready for our son and partner to move in later in the month. I am quite looking forward to finally giving the dogs some normality in their lives.
Now on with those 5 frugal things-
1. Picked, blitzed and froze the self seeded coriander that was due for picking. This coriander was growing wild on the other side of the house, where the new cat mesh enclosure will be. We will be re-designing the gardens on that side to make it more cat friendly.
2. Made another batch of homemade muesli, I love this stuff and eat it every morning with honey and Cocoquench milk.
3. Made some more progress with the little dogs new coats, I procrastinated all Winter long, so funny that when I do eventually finish them, they won't need them. Never mind they will have new coats for next Winter.
4. Made another batch of Miracle cleaner. I won't be without this cleaner, I use it for every cleaning job, except windows and glass. It gets everything clean.
5. Popped into Woolworths yesterday afternoon and picked up some marked down items. I will only buy what we will use, as nothing is a bargain if you don't use it!
