And just like that, my 3 weeks long service leave has finished...I feel exhausted but really happy with what I achieved settling my late In-Laws home, in that time, I wish I had one of those cameras that capture what you do in a day and then speed it up, I think that would be a hoot to look at. Here's how it would look-
I walk into a room, look around, open draws, shakes head, starts singing "Why, Why, Why Delilah" leaves the room, pours another cup of tea, drinks tea while staring into space, goes back into the room, starts pulling things out and looks at each and every item, decides if it goes to Lifeline or not, and so it would go on day in day out.
I'm not sorry I approached this mammoth job this way, bull at a gate, headlong, just get it done, I work better if I'm focussed and nothing focuses my more that a ticking clock. I still have one table of Bric a Brac to sort out, the lady from the local Antique shop is coming back this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon to collect what she wants then the rest will be dropped of to Lifeline AND then it is all done.
Next week lovely hubby and I are going away for the week to celebrate our 31st Wedding Anniversary, we are driving up to the Bunya Mountains, staying at a little cottage. I know Fridays are usually about "leftovers" or "on toast" but as there wasn't leftovers and no tins of Baked Beans for "on toast" so I decided to make a big pot of soup using ingredients already at home.
What did you make this week?
Have a lovely day
