Guess what? It is finally a little cooler and we have had some spits and spats of showery rain, what a relief. The concrete slab was laid this week and we have ordered the new water tanks, once they've been fitted and it finally really rains to fill them, we will be able to go ahead with our, hopefully abundant, garden, I simply can't wait for the day I can go out and pick baskets full of homegrown produce.
I've used my Thermomix quite a few times this week, I made a lovely Asian Chicken Noodle Soup on Sunday, I also made this dip, I made another batch of vanilla yoghurt and last night I made my first ever Risotto, it was so delicious, I will share the recipe soon. I'll make the dough for bread this morning and put it to sleep in the fridge while I'm at work, then take it out and let it prove and bake it this afternoon, I like to have fresh bread for the weekend breakfasts as we don't use a lot of bread during the week.
Here's what else I've been up to this week-
1. Caught the train into the city using my Go-Card it is so much cheaper than driving in and paying for parking.
The sandwich was left over from lunch that day, I had taken a simple vegemite sandwich with me to the course I attended in the city, as it was catered for I chose to eat the food provided. I added some slices of cheese and toasted it to go with an egg for dinner that night.
5a. Made some pita chips out of some homemade flat breads that needed using up. I simply cut the flatbreads into triangles, sprayed with rice bran spray, gave them a good grind of salt and baked them in the oven till golden. Crunchy-salty-goodness.
Over to you, how did you save money this week?
Have a lovely day,
💗Fi
